Q: What is the Taste of Tilles?
A: The Taste of Tilles is a biennial event (held every two years) which serves as the only major fund raiser for the Tilles Park Neighborhood Association (TPNA). Unlike other "tastes" the Taste of Tilles is a restaurant tour, that allows individuals to walk, or be transported by free shuttle, to participating restaraunts around the neighborhood. This allows participating restaurants to showcase their establishments and provide a higher quality, fresher "taste".
Q: So this event only benefits TPNA?
A: No. In addition to the assistance it provides the TPNA, participating restaraunts also benefit greatly from the exposure they gain to the "unknowing" public. How many restaraunts have you driven by and thought something along the lines of, "I wonder what that place is like. It would be nice to check it out and have a sample of their food before I commit to a full meal." In addition to this, participating restaurants are free to sell other menu items and beverages during the event.
Q: Where do the proceeds go?
A: All proceeds and donations from ticket sales go to the TPNA.
Q: What does the TPNA use these funds for?
A: The TPNA uses it's funds for neighborhood & park improvements as well as community events. Click here for a list of some of TPNA's accomplishments.
